This is a very interesting consistency. The cream comes in a thin nozzle tube and the consistency is very similar to a makeup primer. It's thick but clear and feels very silky soft. The cream does absorb matte and did not leave any sticky residue. My skin looked very glowy and has a shiny sheen to it and was very moisturized. I suppose this kind of locks in all the other skincare items since this is the last thing that went on my skincare routine. There is a very light clean matcha scent that dissipates very fast. The tube appears small, but a very small amount covered my whole face (the amount I dispensed in my picture) so this should last a while and is worth the value.
I can only speak for immediate results, although I do trust I will see much better improvements in 4-6 weeks of consistent usage. I have been applying this to some areas of my face for the past couple of weeks as the last step of my routine and do see some change. Unfortunately, the tube is small for anything but spot treatments, or else I would try larger areas. At $24 for 0.67 oz, it is on the more expensive side.It goes on very smoothly and does not have a sticky finish, it feels hydrating and leaves skin soft. I don't notice a particular scent, which I love because heavily scented creams can really bother me throughout the day.I will update my review as needed, but for now I am very happy with this product.
This is a really interesting cream that is specifically formulated for brightening and fading marks either from discoloration or irritation from acne and blemishes, and it is perfect if you have spot treatment areas on your face. The main ingredient here is high potency matcha which is used for clearer skin and more even tone - using a premium matcha the company says contains 137x higher EGCG antioxidants than standard Chinese matcha to help visibly reduce dark spots and uneven tone. So with the addition of niacinamide and transexamic acid this is a super targeted formula and a great addition to your skin care routine. This formula really stays put and is perfect for targeted areas and spots. I am not using this all over my face but I have some areas of spots and I definitely see them fading but I am sure this is a slow process. Still - this is a great price point for this sort of targeted treatment and a great addition to your routine - and I don't see any peeling from it at all! Instead my skin seems really soft and hydrated.
I am uncertain how to use this beplain matcha catechin cream. It says to use as the last step of your skincare, but it also says that it is a spot treatment. Due to the size of the tube I am going to assume that it is a spot treatment as opposed to an all over face moisturizer and that is how I use it. It has the consistency of an eye cream (with a container to match) and is easy to apply and rub on. I don't necessarily see any difference, but I have not been using it that long. I pair it with the matching toner.
Be plain might just be one of the best secrets in Korean skincare. Their products are all awesome. Seriously, they just “get” it. So if you’re a fan of Korean skincare, the types of ingredients often used and the general philosophy of actives and effective ingredients without the extra “fluff” it’s a great brand to try.I use this little tube of silky green cream as a calming, healing barrier cream. I don’t get pimples but I do get troubled areas….often of my own making or due to the dryness of my skin. And thanks to a range of issues from age to vitamin deficiencies to certain health conditions, my skin is slow to heal. Really slow. Painfully, ridiculously slow. Often what happens is that I’ll have a spot and rather than it closing off and healing the area gets dry and cracks and the healing process has to start all over again. This can repeat for weeks and even months!! I’ve learned that if I keep an area well hydrated, protected and calm that it speeds up the process and this is exactly what this cream helps do.The ingredients in here are great. You have several that can help balance skin, several that help provide that protective hydrating layer and others that can help soothe irritation or help fade that post blemish hyperpigmentation that can make skin look blotchy. It also has retinal but I don’t think it’s in any concentration that would cause dryness or peeling. This cream is so hydrating that unless one is really sensitive to retinoids I wouldn’t expect any side effects but it’s good to keep in mind. There’s no drying alcohol in here, no fragrance (yay for a scent free product!) and no essential oils. What this isn’t is a pimple cream that sucks things dry. It’s not meant to be. It has ingredients that can promote a healthier balance, it can speed up the process with its salicylic acid and helps minimize post inflammatory discoloration. But it’s also gentle enough to be used as a barrier cream for irritated dry skin.It is a small tube but since it has a beautiful silky texture it spreads really well so I literally need a dot of this. Like a fraction of a pea size drop to treat areas that need treating. For the quality of the cream and being from a company that consistently makes great products I think the price is fair and worth trying
